My name is Alexandra Fulford and I am a strategy consultant specialised in digital media and social media in the pharmaceutical industry. All opinions expressed in this blog are my own.
My areas of speciality are digital and social media strategy and implementation, social media processes, training and global to local implementation. I am also extremely interested in patient advocacy and I play an active role as a Hashimoto’s patient, sharing resources and support with other patients.
I have extensive experience in working with top pharmaceutical companies such as Roche, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Merck Serono, Sanofi and Astra Zeneca, as well as firms such as McKinsey and Digitas Health. Projects have included digital strategy development and implementation; social media strategy, implementation and guideline development; developing and running digital and social media training programmes and workshops; developing cross-functional and global to local digital implementation processes and strategies. I also have considerable experience in corporate marketing and strategy, and I have been involved in the running and turn around of a strategic consultancy.
I have a passion for pharmaceutical digital strategy and marketing and I am particularly interested in how the industry can make use of new digital technology and social media to have a positive impact on patient’s lives.
With a highly international background I speak fluent French, German and Spanish and basic Mandarin. My international exposure also makes me particularly adept at working with multi-cultural teams.
In my spare time I volunteer with www.hopeforstrays.com a charity that rescues stray cats and dogs in Romania.
